Interior and Exterior Painting

Terracotta Panel manufactured by LOPO Terracotta company is highly porous and transparent construction with smooth and light weight, so it can easily be installed fast, but some small problem should be taken care while designing and installation. This Terracotta Facade Panel is very light and very durable, the louver and terra-cotta bags made out of this material are designed hollow, and that ensures that the overall density of the material does not exceed prohibited limits. The main reason behind this is that it has a higher density, which makes it less expensive than other traditional materials like brick, stone or concrete.

In order to make the Terracotta Panel more attractive, it has been treated to make it look bright. In most cases it is applied in two coats. Before applying the coat of colouring paste, the surface needs to be washed and then dried. Usually the colour is evenly distributed on the terracotta, thus giving a shiny and smooth surface.

The terracotta has been treated with a UV coating, as the sunlight can cause damage to the terracotta. The surface is then protected from the heat of summer. After applying the colouring paste, the LOPO Terracotta Panels should be sealed with a clear varnish or enamel. During sealing the surface should be allowed to dry completely before being re-used.

Once the Terracotta Panel has been sealed, the next step is to apply the stencil. This will help you decorate your terracotta wall effectively. It can also help you choose the designs according to your liking. You can draw or sketch the designs before applying them. If you have no design knowledge, you can ask your designer to draw the design for you. This will help you get a good idea about the design before finally going ahead with the painting process.

Painting is one of the most important tasks to be undertaken in terracotta facades. You need to apply the first coat of paint only after ensuring that the surface has dried completely. If you fail to do so, the paint will not stick properly and will fade over time. After applying the first coat of paint, you need to allow the second coat to dry for a short while, then you can go ahead with the final coat. To ensure that the paint does stick well, you should leave it to dry for at least an hour and then apply the finishing touch.

In this exterior painting job, you can use either varnish or enamel depending upon your taste and preference. If you have to use an enamel, it is recommended to use the same colour as used in interior decorating. This will make the exterior look attractive. For a more professional look you can use varnish on the exterior, however, if you do not have time, then it is better to use enamel on the terracotta panel.
